Jason Momoa covered a set of Oasis tracks at a surprise Manchester gig.

This comes as the actor was spotted across various places the city over the weekend, as he celebrated the launch of his premium spirits range, Meili Vodka.

He had appeared across a number of local venues including The Blues Kitchen on Quay Street, as well as the acclaimed Fenix restaurant, the Chinese restaurant Tattu. He was also spotted by fans at Old Trafford, celebrating Man United's dramatic 3-2 over Fulham.

Elsewhere, Jason Momoa headed over to the Lois venue at Hardman Square, where he performed a litany of covers with his band, OOF TATATA, which included bandmates, Mike Hayes and Kenny Dale.

This show saw Momoa perform on bass, performing a run of covers including Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Jimi Hendrix, before breaking out into a cover of Manchester's beloved, Oasis.

Calling it a "song from Manchester", Momoa and his band covered Oasis' 'Fuckin In The Bushes', where he said to the audience that  “if it sucks” it was because they “learned it right now”.

This live performance saw a number of fans commenting online, with a number of them appearing to approve of the cover.

“Call me the ending of Raiders of the Lost Ark cos my face has melted clean off,” one joked on Reddit after seeing the cover, while another agreed and called it the “most random brilliant thing I’ve seen on the internet today”.

“It’s wild that Oasis is getting the recognition they deserved in the States so late in the game. Has any UK band ever had a late-career breakthrough like this,” another wrote, adding: “I mean, they were still pretty big in the US back in the 90s, but they seem even bigger now".

Some fans did not overlook the fact that Momoa was wearing a Man United jersey, the local rivals to Noel and Liam Gallagher's beloved Manchester City, with one fan writing: “Don’t let Liam and Noel see this".

Last month, it was confirmed that Oasis were nominated for Ticketmaster's International Act of the Year, an award which they emerged victorious, ahead of artists like Robbie Williams, Justin Timberlake, Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Fender, Zach Bryan, Lana Del Rey and Charlie XCX.
