As she approaches retirement, Katie Taylor has settled into married life well and has adjusted to being a step-mum of five.
The Bray native currently resides Stateside, where her husband, Sean McCavanagh, is from. Though they're happy in the US, a move home to Ireland for Katie isn't necessarily off the table.
In fact, Sean is quite 'open to the possibility of moving here'. Obviously, her heart would be set on a move back to Bray, but there's somewhere else in the Emerald Isle Sean has his eye on.
'I know the people so well as well. I think Bray would be the place for me. Although we did visit Killarney a few months ago, my husband absolutely loved Killarney.'

Chatting about enjoying the privacy of the States, Katie said: 'America's such a big country. It is great to have the peace and quiet over there.
'We're living in a beautiful area. A very, very quiet area. The peace and quiet are fantastic, so it is really nice.
'I like being anonymous. In a certain way, I am over there; I get the best of both worlds. I get to come home quite often to see family, so I'm very, very blessed.'

And though she leads a private life, Katie is very much still in the public eye. EVOKE was curious as to how Sean was adjusting to that.
'We kept [getting married] very quiet for a while, we kept it under wraps for quite a bit, but eventually the news does come out. It's part and parcel of the job.'

'I still live a very private life, I don't expose a lot of my life to people. It's important to keep part of your life private. It's important to be able to sit back and enjoy your life and enjoy family life without the cameras being around you.
'He was quite shocked [by my fame],' Katie said of Sean. 'He's very camera-shy. We work together in that we don't like the camera. It's been going pretty great, thank God.'
