Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood delivered an impromptu performance at a listening party for the Rolling Stones in London last night.
The pair performed a live cover if the track, Ringing Hollow, from their new album, Foreign Tongues. The show took place at the St Clement Hotel, in Aldwych, a place which officially opens to the public in September.
Jagger and Wood were also joined on stage by pianist Matt Clifford, a long time collaborator of Jagger. He has also played keyboards in the Rolling Stones' touring band.
News of this comes after Mick Jagger had recently told NME that he was "already writing for the next album", as the Rolling Stones show no signs of slowing down yet.
Revealing that he was already writing more songs, Jagger said: "I’ve already started writing songs anyway. They could be for other people though. When you write a song, you sometimes decide ‘that’s not for me, but it could be for the Chili Peppers’ or whatever".
The singer also stated that he would jump at the chance to perform at Glastonbury again, should the opportunity present itself.
"I mean it is great when you look up the hill and you see everyone, it’s fantastic. There’s no doubt about it. Do I wanna do it again? Oh, I’ll say yes,"
Foreign Tongues will be released tomorrow.
