The Rolling Stones Launch New Album With Star-Studded Party

The Rolling Stones launched their brand new album 'Foreign Tongues' in London last night with a drone show and star studded party.

Mich Jagger and Ronnie hosted the party which a huge number of celebrities in attendance.

Daniel Craig, Sam Fender,Rachel Weisz, Sacha Baron Cohen, Glen Matlock, John McEnroe, and Vernon Kay are among stars taht attended the Rolling Stones launch party last night.


Jagger and Wood surprised guests with an intimate performance of 'Ringing Hollow'. The Rolling Stones official Instagram page posted a clip of the performance along with the caption: "So this just happened in London… 👀 Mick and Ronnie have surprised guests at a special event, with a performance of Ringing Hollow, from the new album Foreign Tongues - out this Friday!"

After their performance, a light show took place over the River Thames, where their iconic tongue and album artwork was displayed.

The iconic light display was created by Patrick Woodroffe, who told NME that the music for the 500 drone light show was set to the Rolling Stones song 'In The Stars' and "is a fitting metaphor to see the iconic and much loved Stones’ tongue hanging over the River Thames to celebrate a record made here in the city of London.” 

Speaking on their new album The Rolling Stones said: “We put this album together in under a month at Metropolis Studios in our hometown of London – it was a lot of fun. The critics seem to like it, we hope everyone loves it!," according to NME.

The Rolling Stones' brand new album 'Foreign Tongues' is now available to listen to streaming platforms. The long awaited album is made up of 14 songs and features the Cure's Robert Smith and The Beatles' Paul McCartney.

In a recent interview, Mick Jagger confirmed that the band have no plans of stopping any time soon and that he is already writing another album. He confirmed that he is already writing more songs, as he said: "I’ve already started writing songs anyway. They could be for other people though. When you write a song, you sometimes decide ‘that’s not for me, but it could be for the Chili Peppers’ or whatever.” Read more on Nova here.
