Brenda Fricker's funeral is to take place in Dublin this week, it has been confirmed.
It was announced that the funeral will take place in St Catherine's Church on Meath Street in Dublin on Thursday at 11am, followed by a private burial.
The beloved Irish actress, Fricker died aged 81 on July 16, with her death confirmed by her agent.
Her death was confirmed by her agent, Phil Belfield, who said in a statement: "We will never see her like again and the world is lesser for the lack of her".
"I was honoured to know, love and work with her and she will always have a place in my heart and in the heart of so many film and TV fans the world over".
Her family added that her death is "deeply regretted" and she is "lovingly remembered by her niece Billie, nephew Chimo, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, her best friend Liz, neighbours and a wide circle of friends around the world and in Ireland".
In 1990, Brenda Fricker made history after she became the first Irish actress to win an Oscar, winning Best Supporting Actress for her role in My Left Foot, where she starred as Christy Brown's mother, alongside Daniel Day Lewis.
Fricker's acceptance speech, has been hailed as one of the most defining moments in Irish film, as she dedicated her victory to "all the people of Ireland".
She also featured in The Field, as well as the kind Pigeon Lady in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York alongside Macauley Culkin, A Time To Kill and Veronica Guerin.
Following her death, a number of household names paid tribute to Fricker, including Mike Myers, and My Left Foot director, Jim Sheridan.
"I'd like to add my voice to the amazing chorus of people mourning the passing of Brenda Fricker. I loved working with her", Myers said. "She was a generous, sweet and insanely talented artist. I learned so much from her. I'm blessed to have known her. My condolences to her family and friends".
Elsewhere, Keith Duffy said he loved Fricker for her no nonsense approach to life.
He said: "'I loved our chats, if never for me, always caring and always free. Thank you for your guidance, if sometimes harsh. Rest in peace".
