Gordon Ramsay’s latest TV venture has reportedly been thrown into jeopardy after fellow chef Marcus Wareing allegedly quit the new BBC show just weeks before filming was due to begin.
The pair had been set to reunite on screen for the new programme, which was being developed under Gordon’s TV production company, Studio Ramsay.
However, it has now been claimed that Marcus told producers he no longer wanted to take part, leaving the future of the show uncertain.
A source told The Sun: “Sadly, the format has already fallen apart. Last week, Marcus told the producers he didn’t want to do it anymore, leading to the show being halted.”
They added: “It’s a shame as there was so much excitement about the reunion. It all feels pretty final, but the BBC could try to rescue it in another way.”
The reported departure comes despite the chefs recently reconciling after a 16-year feud.

Gordon and Marcus had been close colleagues before their relationship dramatically broke down in 2008.
Marcus had been working as head chef at one of Gordon’s restaurants before leaving to open his own restaurant. The move reportedly caused a major rift between the pair and resulted in years of silence.
The two chefs eventually repaired their relationship earlier this year, with their reconciliation leading to plans for them to work together on the new BBC project.
The reported collapse of the show will therefore come as a surprise to fans who had been looking forward to seeing the pair reunited on screen.
Meanwhile, Gordon has also recently revealed that another of his daughters has become engaged, just eight months after daughter Holly’s wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.
The chef made the revelation during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, although he did not reveal whether it was Megan or Tilly who had announced their engagement.
Gordon shares Megan and Tilly with wife Tana, as well as sons Jack, Oscar and Jesse.

Speaking about Holly’s wedding, Gordon said: “Yeah, it was just one of those amazing moments. And the speech, it's just your little girl, right?”
He added: “I bawled my eyes out. I was a hot, freaking mess, man. I'm telling you. Honestly, it was just so emotional but the day goes so quick, right?”
Gordon then revealed that the family had another wedding to look forward to, saying: “And then last week, our other daughter announced her wedding as well. So it's rolling...”
