Simple Minds have announced a Dublin date as part of their upcoming 2027 world tour.
The band will play 3Arena on May 17, 2027, with Gary Numan joining them as a special guest.
Tickets for the Dublin show will go on general sale on Friday, September 11.
The announcement comes as Simple Minds reveal details of their new studio album, Sacrosanct, which will be released on January 29, 2027 through BMG.
The eight-track album is the follow-up to 2022’s Direction Of The Heart, which reached number four in the UK album charts.
The first single from Sacrosanct, Beginner Boys, is out now.
Speaking about the new album, Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr said: “We called the album Sacrosanct because after a lifetime of doing this — nearly fifty years of writing songs together — it’s stopped feeling like a career and started feeling like something closer to faith. Calling the record Sacrosanct isn’t an exaggeration. It’s just honest.”
Simple Minds have sold more than 60 million records worldwide and are behind hits including Don’t You (Forget About Me), Alive and Kicking, Waterfront, Promised You A Miracle, Belfast Child and Sanctify Yourself.
The band will begin their Simple Minds V Tour in Australia and New Zealand in February 2027 before heading to Europe, the UK and Ireland.
Pre-orders for Sacrosanct made by Tuesday, September 8 will give fans access to the UK pre-sale.
