FedEx has apologised to Kevin Bacon after confirming that his missing luggage has finally arrived in Ireland.
The Footloose actor is currently filming in Ireland and put out an appeal on Instagram when a parcel of his clothing that he has owned since the 90s failed to arrive.
Responding to the video, FedEx said: "We got this wrong, and we're sorry. Your package has now been delivered, but we know the experience wasn’t what it should have been. We're addressing what went wrong to help ensure we deliver the level of service our customers deserve."
Bacon explained in the post that he had sent out his parcel from upstate New York on 26 September so he didn't have to carry heavy luggage on his trip to Ireland.
The parcel took a detour on its way to Ireland, according to RTE, the package travelled through Memphis, France and Germany before being sent to Israel several times.
It finally arrived in Ireland on the 11th of October, however Bacon still hadn't received the parcel five days later when he made the appeal.
"I don’t understand why; it’s just sitting there. I can’t get a person on the phone. I have not been able to talk to anybody. I know what you’re thinking: just go buy some more clothes, and you’re right, I could buy some clothes, but I want these clothes. I’ve had them since the nineties," Bacon explained in his post to Instagram.
He ended his appeal saying "am I ever going to see this stuff? It's starting to get cold here."
Kevin Bacon is currently in Ireland shooting Summoner, a new horror film written and directed by Jeremy Slater.
In the movie, Bacon stars as Jefferson Haddock, a man facing off against a terrifying demon at a remote witness protection site. The cast also features Stephanie Beatriz and Daniel Ings.
An official release date has not yet been set.
