A long-lost Phil Lynott song that was recorded just weeks before his death has been released.
The track has been released before a new eight-CD Phil Lynott anthology is to be made available.
'The Story Of My Life' includes Lynott's solo albums 'Solo In Soho' and 'The Philip Lynott Album'. It also includes the previously unreleased album 'Fatalistic Attitude' and several unheard tracks.
The first track to emerge is 'Can't Get Away', and was recorded just weeks before Lynott's death. The song was never officially released and was recorded with Huey Lewis from the band Clover who supported Thin Lizzy in 1976.

'Fatalistic Attitude' was originally supposed to be released in 1982, however it was considered "too dark" by Vertigo Records and was changed significantly before it was released as 'The Philip Lynott Album.'
'The Story Of My Life' is set to be released on October 30 and is available to pre-order here.
The full 8-CD box set is priced at 101.99 euro, with other combo options available on the sound of vinyl website.
Lynott died in 1986 at age 36. The Irish musician has left a lasting impact on Irish music and culture.
In June, Metallica paid tribute to the Thin Lizzy mainman on the second night of their M72 world tour performances in Dublin.
‘There’s a certain song we have to play, or we’re not getting out of this town alive,’ James Hetfield said at the concert.
The band briefly teased the riff from ‘...And Justice for All’ before breaking into Thin Lizzy’s ‘Whiskey in the Jar’.
Metallica have been performing their version of the song for almost three decades. They officially recorded it in 1998 for their covers album Garage, Inc. and performed it live soon afterwards, making it a long-standing part of their repertoire.
