Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that 11 of his sheep have been stolen from his farm in Oxfordshire.

Police are investigating the suspected late-night raid at Diddly Squat, the farm made famous by Clarkson’s Farm.

Clarkson discovered the sheep were missing when he attempted to count his flock alongside his farmhand and Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper this week.

Only 16 of the 27 Easycare sheep were still in their remote field at the Diddly Squat farm in Chadlington.

The sheep are set to feature in the upcoming sixth series of Clarkson’s Farm.

Clarkson has now issued a message to whoever took them, simply saying: “Put them back.”

He also spoke about the incident and said police had been “very good” after he reported the theft.

Clarkson explained that he eventually managed to get through to a police officer after working his way through hundreds of recorded messages.

“I said, ‘I know it’s going to sound like I’m from 1856, but I’ve had some sheep stolen’,” he said.

The officer then recognised the farm and the animals, with Clarkson recalling: “She went through the name and address and then she said, ‘Oh, not your Easycares’. She’s obviously been watching the show, but it is the Easycares.”

The theft is now being investigated by police.

Diddly Squat has become one of the best-known farms in the UK thanks to Clarkson’s Farm, which follows Clarkson and his team as they attempt to run the Oxfordshire property.

The show has featured the farm’s livestock, crops and ongoing struggles with farming, as well as Clarkson’s often unconventional approach to running the business.
