Two men and a teenager have been arrested after gardaí pursued a suspected stolen car from north Dublin to the M50.
The incident happened at around 7pm yesterday evening, when gardaí investigating burglaries and criminal damage in north Dublin spotted a Volkswagen Golf with several occupants on the Naul Road near Dublin Airport.
The car failed to stop when signalled by gardaí, prompting a pursuit.
Air Support, local and divisional garda units, and the Armed Support Unit were deployed during the incident.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop on the M50 near Clondalkin, where three males were arrested. They include two men in their 20s and a teenager.
The three have since been detained at garda stations in north Dublin.
Gardaí suspect the men may be linked to a series of burglaries in Malahide and Santry over the weekend.
Videos shared on social media showed one couple's home being targeted, with the windows of their car smashed using golf clubs.
The Volkswagen Golf involved in the chase had been reported stolen during a recent burglary in Santry. The vehicle is now undergoing a technical examination as part of the investigation.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Gardaí have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
