City of Edinburgh Council have recieved eight official complaints following the final gig of the bands European tour in August. They have also stated that three Oasis dates have attracted complaints regarding noise levels.
According to the BBC, a spokesperson for the council have stated that they will now recommend that fireworks are no longer used for future events in the stadium.
The AC/DC noise complaints reportedly started during the bands soundcheck on August 21st. One person even stated that their house lights dimmed due to the amount of power being used inside the venue.
The Murrayfield gig in Edinburgh was the first sold out AC/DC show in Scotland in over a decade. The band had performed in 10 European countries before their big finale in Edinburgh last August. The tour concluded with a huge firework display which could be heard all over the capital city.
Oasis performed three sold out shows in Edinburgh just a few weeks before AC/DC and recieved similar complaints. Oasis were reportedly already unhappy with the City Council before their gigs due to official comments made by the council about Oasis fans, suggesting that they would be "rowdy" and "intoxicated". Liam Gallagher responded to these comments by calling the City Of Edinburgh Council a "bunch of snakes."
A spokesperson for the council told the BBC, "We understand that fireworks used during concerts at Murrayfield can be disruptive to the local community so officers will recommend that they are not used as part of future events. However we consider licenses for all events based on their own merits and by taking into account any advice from officers."
