Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are set to front their first-ever podcast series together, marking a new chapter for one of British television’s most enduring partnerships. The presenting duo, best known for hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain’s Got Talent, will launch Hanging Out With Ant & Dec later this month.
The new podcast promises a relaxed, conversational format that leans into what audiences have enjoyed about the pair for decades: their natural chemistry and long-standing friendship. Fans will be invited to join the Geordie duo as they catch up, reminisce about their careers, and revisit some of their most memorable moments on television. Listeners will also have the chance to submit questions and seek advice from the pair, adding an interactive element to the series.
Speaking about the idea behind the podcast, Declan Donnelly explained that it was shaped directly by audience feedback. “We asked our audience if we did a podcast what would they like it to be about, and they said we just want you guys to hang out. So that’s what we’re doing,” he said. “Ant & I don’t get to hang out as much as we used to, so it’s perfect for us.”
Episodes of Hanging Out With Ant & Dec will be released on a bi-weekly basis starting on 22 January, with an additional bonus episode landing every Monday. Extended video versions of the podcast will also be available to watch online, giving fans a more visual insight into the conversations.
Alongside the podcast, the duo have announced the launch of a new digital entertainment channel called Belta Box. The platform will feature a mix of new content and curated clips, including highlights from across their extensive television back catalogue. Shows such as Byker Grove, where the pair first found fame playing PJ and Duncan, will form part of the offering.
Ant McPartlin described the new venture as a natural evolution of their careers. “We’ve spent our whole careers celebrating great entertainment, so launching Belta Box feels like the natural next step,” he said. “Alongside our new podcast, we’re excited to create a space packed with fun, feel-good content that brings people together – no matter where they’re watching or listening.”
The announcement adds to a year that has already seen Ant and Dec continue to dominate weekend television schedules. From prime-time talent shows to jungle-based reality TV, the duo remain two of the most recognisable faces on UK screens. Their longevity is rooted in a career that spans children’s television, pop music and light entertainment, including a surprise chart resurgence in 2013 when their 1994 hit Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble reached number one.
