Barack Obama has once again shared the annual list of his favourite films, books and songs for 2025.
The former US President who has been known to share such playlists on social media, kept up this this tradition with the latest instalment of his favourite books and music on social media.
This year's list featured Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra, Olivia Dean‘s Man I Need, Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra and and Rosalía’s Sexo, Violencia Y Llantas all featured on the list, which also included tracks by Chappell Roan The Giver, Bruce Springsteen Faithless, Drake Nokia, and Kendrick Lamar and SZA Luther.
He wrote: “As 2025 comes to a close, I’m continuing a tradition that I started during my time in the White House: sharing my annual lists of favorite books, movies, and music. I hope you find something new to enjoy—and please send any recommendations for me to check out!".
Other tracks from Burna Boy with Travis Scott, Chance the Rapper, Jamila Woods, Victoria Noelle, and BLACKPINK were also included.
As for books, Barack Obama, included Brian Goldtone's There Is No Place For Us, Zadie Smith's Dead Or Alive, Andrew Ross Sorkin's 1929, Jill Lepore's We Are The People, Ian McEwan's What We Can Know among others.
While acknowledging his obvious bias, Obama also included a book from his wife Michelle, which is called The Look .

As mentioned, this is not the first time that the former president has shared these playlists.
In August 2024, Obama shared his summer playlist with his followers, which included tracks from household names like Charlie XCX, Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, and Tyla among others. More on this story here.
Obama also did the same in 2023, which included music from Boygenius, SZA, Janelle Monaé, Ice Spice, Bob Dylan.
At the time, he wrote: “Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer – a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed”. More on this here.
In 2021, Obama also shared his Summer playlist, which included tracks from George Harrison, Bob Marley, and Joni Mitchell.
