Bohemian FC have unveiled a new away kit in collaboration with Kneecap.

The one off jersey was designed in conjunction with the football club, which is fan-owned and not-for-profit, aimed at paying homage to the "unbreakable bond" between the Irish and Palestinian people. It features both the Irish and Palestinian flags interwoven in the design.

The shirt also features the letters C.E.A.R.T.A. inside the neck of the garment. This translates as "rights" and is also named after a Kneecap track.

It was also confirmed that 30% of the profits will go towards the ACLAÍ Palestine, a community gym located in the Lajee Centre in the Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem, West Bank Palestine. Proceeds which help to build a community must studio for artists in the camp to record and produce their own music.

Speaking about this collaboration, Bohemian FC's Chief Commercial Officer, Daniel Lambert said: “We are delighted to unveil this jersey following lots of work over the past few months with Kneecap and with ACLAÍ Palestine. The rise of the band, to now become a recognisable name across the world playing to sold out arenas and festival headliners, has been spectacular".

He added: “Even more impressive is to see them continuously highlight and speak about Palestine to bigger and bigger crowds and be unrelenting in their moral convictions. To have also done this in the Irish language and whilst advocating for the rights of oppressed people across the world is an inspiration to so many people".

This jersey will be available to purchase at the merchandise shop at Dalymount Park, Bohemian's home ground. It will be available from 1-7pm today and tomorrow(December 16 and 17). Any remaining shirts will go on sale midday on Thursday (December 18).

This is not the first time that Bohemian FC have unveiled a jersey to raise awareness about the Palestine.

Last December, Fontaines D.C collaborated with Bohemians FC to launch a new jersey, raising funds for medical aid in Palestine.

It was designed by Fontaines D.C's Carlos O'Connell, who worked in tandem with Bohemians' designers, which will serve as the Dublin side's alternative kit for the 2025 season. The collaborati0on also celebrated the band's sold out shows at Dublin's 3Arena that month. More on this from Nova here.

As for Kneecap, the rap trio drew praise from Bob Geldof back in October, when he compared them to Elvis. Find out more on this story from Nova here.
