Bono has voiced his support for Bruce Springsteen in his ongoing feud with US President Donald Trump.
This comes after Mr Trump hit out at Springsteen for scathing remarks made by the singer while on stage in Manchester earlier this month, which included calling the Trump administration, "treasonous". He also hit out at the "corruption" and "incompetence" of the administration. Find out more here.
In response, Mr Trump hit out at Springsteen, calling him a "dried out prune of a rocker", and an "overrated musician", before going on to warn the singer to "keep his mouth shut". More on this here.
When asked by Jimmy Kimmel, Bono defended Springsteen amid this feud with Trump, stating: “I think there’s only one Boss in America", which was met with a huge round of applause from the audience.
Regarding Trump's call for an investigation, which also saw him mention Bono, the singer added: “Two points I’ll make. One: to be in the company of Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé and Oprah – I’ll play tambourine in that band".
“And two: U2 and I have never been paid or played a show to support any candidate from any party. It has never happened. I know that it’s called Truth Social, it seems to be pretty antisocial, and it’s not very true a lot of the time".
Alongside Bono, Neil Young, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder have also voiced their support for Bruce Springsteen amid this feud with the US President.
