Gardai Call For Witnesses As Body Of Woman, 40s, Found In Kerry

A woman has been found dead at a house in Killarney, Co Kerry, with Gardaí launching an appeal for witnesses as investigations get under way.

Emergency services responded to an incident at a residence on Muckross Road on Tuesday afternoon, where the body of the woman, who was aged in her 40s, was discovered.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí confirmed that the State Pathologist has been notified and that a post-mortem examination will be carried out to help establish the circumstances surrounding her death.

The property has been sealed off for a full technical examination, while a Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed to lead the investigation.

An incident room has also been established at Killarney Garda Station as inquiries continue.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Muckross Road area between Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon and may have information to come forward.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone with dashcam or other camera footage from the area during that period.
