Novak Djokovic's career and controversial reputation will be explored in a new documentary coming to Prime Video.
Titled Novak Djokovic: The Wolf in Winter, the documentary follows the Serbian tennis star's journey from growing up in war-torn Serbia to becoming one of the most successful players in tennis history.

The film is directed by Jason Hehir, who previously directed the acclaimed Michael Jordan docuseries The Last Dance.
It will feature interviews with Djokovic, members of his family, and some of the biggest names in tennis, including Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Boris Becker and Jim Courier.
The documentary will be released on Prime Video on August 20, ahead of the 2026 US Open, which begins on August 30 in New York.

A trailer for the film shows Djokovic reflecting on the pressures of continuing his career despite already achieving historic success.
"People think you've achieved so many great things and now you should enjoy. I cannot enjoy," he says.
"There are days when I'm doubting myself a lot. How long should I do this? Why am I putting myself and my family through this over and over again?"

At 39, Djokovic remains one of the most successful players in men's tennis history, having won a record 24 Grand Slam singles titles.
He rose to prominence during the era dominated by the rivalry between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, with the trio becoming known as the Big Three.
While Djokovic's achievements have cemented his place among the greatest players ever, he has also been a divisive figure due to his emotional reactions on court and his opposition to Covid-19 vaccination requirements during the pandemic.

The documentary will explore both sides of Djokovic's public image, examining his pursuit of greatness as well as the criticism he has faced throughout his career.
In the trailer, Djokovic says:
"The number one doubter is here," he says, pointing to himself. "And I'm trying to prove myself wrong more than anybody else."
