Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin has revealed that he wants to peform on the moon with the rest of the band.

“Higher Power” – Coldplay

This comes after Coldplay released their intergalactic video for their latest single “Higher Power”. You can have a look at that video here.

The video also sees Chris Martin and co explore a new planet. Coldplay head towards a “colorful trash planet” called Kaotica whose alien language features prominently throughout the video and across the “Higher Power” artwork.

When they arrive on this planet, the boys are confronted by giant holograms, robot dogs and a gang of dancing aliens. The aliens are peformed by Seoul’s Ambiguous Dance Company.

The video is also directed by Dave Meyers who has previously worked with Billie Eilish.

On the video, Meyers also had this to say.

“The video is a metaphor for how, right now, we all feel alienated, far removed from our world, almost like we’re on an alien planet. And ultimately we find love in the streets and that euphoria shoots us off into the stratosphere of our own energy and higher power”.

“Confused about the atmosphere”

Since then, Chris Martin revealed these ambitions to go where no man has gone before, but the singer admitted that vaccum of space with no sound might put the spanner in the works if they are to make that dream a reality.

“Not many people have done it, that’s true”, Martin told the “Zach Sang Show”. “But isn’t there an issue that if you play on the moon no one can actually hear? I am confused about the atmosphere”, the Coldplay frontman added.

“We would try anything twice. I don’t mind any ridicule as I just speak what feels true to me. That is what we all have to do”.

Coldplay had also previously performed the track when opening this year’s Brit Awards. Find out more from Nova’s report here.
