Going to Fleetwood Mac on Saturday night at the O2?? Lucky you!

Stevie Nicks revealed during a BBC radio interview that former member Christine McVie will rejoin Fleetwood Mac for two shows on its upcoming European tour. Nicks was interviewed on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour program, and shed some light on McVie returning to the fold, explaining, “She is going to come and do a song on the second two shows. I think it will probably be ‘Don’t Stop.’ I don’t know, but she’s coming to Ireland to rehearse with us. ” Judging from Nick’s comments, McVie will perform at the band’s second Dublin show on Saturday, September 21st at The O2 Dublin.

Christine McVie left Fleetwood Mac shortly after their 1997 reunion tour, and since then has released her third solo album, 2004’s In The Meantime, which she collaborated on with her nephew, Dan Perfect.

Stevie Nicks told us that she still deeply misses Christine McVie on the road: “Well, it’s certainly not as much fun as having Chris. Because when I had her, I had a best friend, y’know? Since 1975 I had somebody who I considered to be one of my several girlfriends that are my best friends. And so, when she left, it was really devastating. (The tour in) 2009 was less strange, because she’s been gone a long time then. She left in 1998, so in 2009 she’d been gone almost 10 years.”
