Coldplay's viral 'kiss cam' hit the headlines again, having picked up Lionel Messi and his wife at their show in Florida.
This feature, which shows unsuspecting people in the audience on the big screens, came into focus earlier this month after showing Astronomer CEO Andy Byron with his arms around a woman. On that occasion, Coldplay were on stage at Boston's Gillette Stadium, as the kiss cam showed a visibly mortified Byron, who instantly jumped out of view of the shot, leading to lead singer Chris Martin suspecting that the pair were having an affair.
The woman in question was later identified as Kristin Cabot, who is the HR Chief of the same company.
It was reported that Byron resigned as CEO of the company days later, having served in the position since 2023. Cabot reportedly joined the company as Chief People Officer nine months ago.
“Oh, look at these two. Come on, you’re OK. Oh what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” the singer said. “Oh s***, I hope we didn’t do something bad".
Now, this intimate segment has made the headlines again, with legendary footballer Lionel Messi appearing on the big screen alongside his wife, Antonela.
On the night, Coldplay were performing at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida last weekend.
Spotting Messi on the screen, Chris Martin said: “Well Leo, my beautiful brother. You and your wife are looking so fine. Thanks for coming today to see our band play, the number one sports person of all time!”.
Ex Barcelona and PSG player Lionel Messi currently plays for Inter Miami FC, founded by former England captain David Beckham.
