A photography exhibition celebrating 50 years of Irish rock music is returning to Dublin this November, giving fans another chance to see some iconic images of the country's biggest music stars.

'50 Years Of Irish Rock Through The Lens Of Dutch Photographers' will be on display at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre from November 1 to November 30.

The exhibition features rare and iconic photographs of Irish artists including U2, Sinéad O’Connor, Rory Gallagher, Van Morrison, Bob Geldof and Hozier, captured by six renowned Dutch music photographers.

Curated by Ramon Music Exhibitions, the collection brings together the work of Paul Bergen, Gijsbert Hanekroot, Govert de Roos, Patricia Steur, Andreas Terlaak and Rob Verhorst.

The exhibition has been travelling around Ireland throughout 2026, with its Dublin showing marking the final opportunity for visitors here to see the collection before it heads overseas.

It will also be updated with more recent photographs of Irish acts including Fontaines D.C., Kneecap and Imelda May.

The project is now expanding internationally, with exhibitions taking place at Galeria Cinco Pies in Mexico City from October 27 to November 7, and at the Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American in the Netherlands from January 14 to April 18, 2027.

Ramon Muntjewerff, founder of Ramon Music Exhibitions, said there has always been a special connection between Irish musicians and their Dutch audiences.

He said: "Throughout the years Irish music has always resonated strongly with Dutch audiences. Often bands and artists from Ireland had their first international successes in the Netherlands.

"From Boomtown Rats in the 1970s, to U2 in the early 1980s and Sinéad O’Connor in the late eighties and contemporary Irish artists that are finding their feet on mainland Europe. Somehow the road to musical success outside of Ireland often starts in the Netherlands."

The exhibition is free to visit at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre throughout November.
