Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid and actress Courtney Cox have reportedly split up after more than 10 years together.

Reports of this were first mentioned by The Daily Mail, with the outlet saying that the pair, who were previously introduced by mutual friend, Ed Sheeran and met at a party in LA, had broken up.

According to the outlet, the couple have called it day, having been living "different lives", with Friends star Cox mainly based in the US, while Snow Patrol guitarist McDaid has been predominantly based in the UK.

"Johnny speaks incredibly highly of Courteney. They had a very deep relationship and they remain extremely amicable", a close friend of the pair reportedly told the Daily Mail.

This source did also added: "They are great friends and care about each other very much".

"This was not an ugly split. They had simply reached a point where they were living different lives".

According to PEOPLE, the couple were last spotted together in September 2025 when they attended the US Open. Prior to this, Cox had paid tribute to McDaid on his 49th birthday with a post on social media.

Along with a series of photos, Cox wrote:  "Happy birthday to the man who can do most anything", while adding: "I love you always J".

The couple began their relationship in 2013, and were engaged after nine months, before splitting up for a while in 2015, spending six months apart. They soon reconciled.
