Last October Depeche Mode’s frontman Dave Gahan and guitarist Martin Gore announced Memento Mori. It’s their first album in six years, and the title is fairly gloomy: translated from Latin, it means “Remember you must die.”

Given that Memento Mori is the band’s final album with founding member and keyboard man Andy Fletcher, who died in May last year aged 60, perhaps the grim-sounding
title was intentional.

The album will be released into the wild on the 24th of March and you can hear the new song here. The production is huge and tailor-made for headphones but you may need to listen to some of their ’80s tunes just to cheer up after you listen to My Cosmos Is Mine.
