Freshly released documents issued by a New York court provide a grim insight into the lurid world of the now dead sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
His notorious dealings with the rich and powerful including former US president Bill Clinton and Britain’s Prince Andrew are laid bare in the first tranche of documents.
A judge last month ordered their publication after they’d been kept under lock and key for years, before the emergence of sworn depositions of women who detailed their abuse first hand.
Epstein was found hanged in a jail cell in August 2019 in New York while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges involving dozens of underage women.
He’d previously been convicted of soliciting sex with a minor in Florida.
His longtime partner, socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, was sentenced to 20 years in jail after her conviction in December 2021 of helping to procure girls and also abusing them.
The papers emerged from a 2015 civil defamation lawsuit filed against Maxwell by Virginia Giuffre, who’s accused Epstein and others of years of abuse.
Giuffre testified under oath in 2016 that Maxwell ordered her to provide sexual acts to the likes of the now deceased former New Mexico governor Bill Richardson, as well as billionaire New York hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin, and the late French model agency owner and rape accused Jean-Luc Brunel, to name but a few. Dubin, has denied the claims.
Giuffre said she was also told to provide a massage to Prince Andrew, who’s often loudly denied her claims.
A now-infamous photograph in which the royal’s arm is wrapped around the youngster’s waist was provided it to the FBI. She says Epstein took it with a Kodak camera in 2001.
Another accuser, the Swede Johanna Sjoberg said the royal Andrew groped her breast when she was 17, as part of a “joke” involving his ‘puppet‘ from TV show Spitting Image.
She said the event took place at the late sex offender’s Manhattan mansion.
A separate accuser, referred to as Jane Doe 3, claims she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew in London, New York and the US Virgin Islands, as part of an underage orgy.
Prince Andrew, who’s royal duties have since been culled due to the scandal around them, has settled a separate lawsuit from Giuffre.
Meanwhile, Giuffre had previously alleged that she spent time with former President Bill Clinton on Epstein’s private island — denied by Clinton.
Sjoberg also mentioned Clinton, alleging that Epstein had told her the former president “likes them young”.
Lawyers for Giuffre petitioned the court to allow them to depose Clinton as “a key person” who could provide information about his close relationship with Epstein which was denied.
