The e-scooter driver, who remains unidentified, was pronounced dead at the scene after a collision with a car on the Kentstown Road in Navan at around 1:45am.
His body was taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan for post mortem examination.
The driver of the car, aged in his 60s, and the passenger, aged in their 20's, were both uninjured.
The Kentstown road currently remains closed for garda examination, local diversions are in place.

The accident is believed to have happened around 3:45am on the L4101 at Lanespark, Ballynonty, Thurles.
The drivers body was taken to the Waterford University Hospital for a post mortem examination.
The L4101 also remains closed while the gardaí examination continues, with local diversions in place.
