Foo Fighters have announced their new album and title track, 'You're Favourite Tour', which you can check out below.
The band have been dropping hints about this album for weeks, including updating their website with a new home page, where they turned it into an interactive page, and included snippets of new material. This update includes a run of photos, with each one featuring a 10 second clip of a then unreleased track. More on this from Nova here.
Now, the band have announced the release of their new album, 'Your Favourite Toy', which will arrive via Roswell Records/Columbia Records on April 24. This will mark the band's 12th studio album overall.
They have also shared the title track from this album, which the band say represents the feel of the album as a whole, marking a creative new chapter for them. It was co produced by Foo Fighters and Oliver Roman, who also engineered this album, which was mixed by Mark 'Spike' Stent.
"‘Your Favorite Toy’ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album,” frontman Grohl said. “We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new".
The song also sees Dave Grohl sing the lyrics: “Get back/ Hear that, boy?/ Someone threw away your favorite toy for good/ For good".
It can be pre ordered via this link here.
