Saoirse Ronan has earned her fourth Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her portrayal of Jo March in Little Women.

She was previously shortlisted for Atonement (Best Supporting Actress, 2008), Brooklyn (Best Actress, 2016) and Lady Bird (Best Actress, 2018).

In Little Women, Saoirse Ronan plays Jo March who reflects back and forth on her life, telling the beloved story of the March sisters – four young women each determined to live life on their own terms.

Saoirse Ronan had also previously collaborated on director Greta Gerwig’s solo feature film directorial debut, Lady Bird (2017).

Joker is leading this year’s list of nominations with 11.

The Irishman, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and World War One drama 1917 are all in the running for 10 prizes each.

The winner will be announced at the 92nd Academy Awards Ceremony on February 9th.
