A man in his twenties has received serious head injuries in an assault in Lucan, County Dublin last night.
The assault happened at Ballyowen Lane, Lucan. The young man was rushed to Beaumont Hospital following the attack. An Incident Room has been set up at Lucan Garda Station to investigate the assault.
Gardaí have made an appeal for witnesses or anyone with any information, particularly those who were in area of Ballyowen Lane or Ballyowen Shopping Centre between 11pm and midnight to contact them at Lucan Garda Station 01-6667300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
