Cronin is the musical project of Mullingar brothers Johnny and Mick Cronin. They came home from the UK in the early 2000’s and started releasing music under name The Aftermath.

They’re regular collaborators with Shane MacGowan in the studio, gigs and telly shows. They even did A Rainy Night in Soho at his wedding with Johnny Depp on guitar.

Cronin have appeared on stage with Bono and Nick Cave, Pete Doherty has dedicated songs to them on stage, Noel Gallagher hid behind their CD cover to escape the London paparazzi!

Nick Cave’s on record as saying, “You sound like me but in tune.”

Their latest tune is There’s A Darkness.

Put together from footage on the road in Norway, and performances at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre and the Stables in Mullingar, with some extra footage at Transmission Rooms Studio in Drumlish, There’s a Darkness is taken from the mini album, A View from the Next Room.

Cronin will perform on October 15 as part of the Extra Sessions which will stream on Extra.ie from 8pm that evening and will be available to watch for free until midnight on Sunday.

Extra Sessions will see both established and emerging artists once again take to the stage to perform full live shows, as captured by Extra.ie and streamed weekly on the platform throughout the autumn season.
