Hear R.E.M. Share Stellar Recording Of Classic ‘Orange Crush’ From BBC Session

R.E.M. have shared an awesome version of their classic tune ‘Orange Crush’ lifted from their upcoming ‘At The BBC’ album. The excellent version is below.

The songs comes from the band’s legendary 1988 sixth record ‘Green’. This freshly released version of the song was recorded live for Mark and Lard on BBC Radio 1 and it was first broadcast back on October 15. 2003.

Set for release on October 19th, the new box set entitled ‘R.E.M. At The BBC‘ covers over 30 years and it will include 8 CDs, a DVD and there’s a John Peel Session (1998), Drivetime and Mark and Lard guest slots from 2003 together with a live performance in Radio 1’s Live Lounge from 2008.

The DVD comprises a 60-minute retrospective of the band’s shows at the BBC via Accelerating Backwards film, which has not been available commercially before. A complete episode of their performance on Later…With Jools Holland form 1998 also features, as does the band’s appearance on Top of the Pops.
