Earlier this week, Foo Fighters played an intimate live show at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire.
On the night, the band treated the fans at the venue to a mixture of classic tunes and new material, just days after another surprise show at Dublin's Academy, as part of several small shows they announced for this week.
Having started proceedings with a live rendition of 'This Is A Call' from their upcoming album, 'You're Favourite Toy', Dave Grohl and co then treated fans to a live rendition of their classic, 'All My Life'.
Following another live performance from their new album with 'Of All People', Foo Fighters then played ‘My Hero’, ‘Learn To Fly’, and ‘The Pretender’ live to their crowd in London.
Foos then played their album's title track, 'Your Favourite Toy', before performing ‘No Son Of Mine’, ‘Run’ and ‘Aurora’.
“I’ve got to be honest, this is what it felt like 30 years ago,” Grohl said after playing deep-cut ‘La Dee Da’ for the “old school motherfuckers” in the crowd.
“I’m so happy. If you hear me laughing in the middle of songs, it’s because I’m so happy that we’re still here. When I say we, I mean us,” he added, before joking that they were ending the show before they even hit the halfway mark. “I think we should play here every night if it’s like this. We will do a residency here for the rest of our f****** lives".
Foo Fighters announced these run of shows as they promote their upcoming album, 'Your Favourite Toy', which will be released later this year. The third of their three shows will take place at Manchester's 02 Ritz tonight, February 27.
Last week, the band also played live at Dingle's St James Church for an Other Voices televised show. Find out more on this from Nova here.
In other news, Foo Fighters' lead singer Dave Grohl had hinted that every record from the band could be their "last".
“Every record has been our last record. So, I kind of feel like at this point you just kind of—you make a record and you go, ‘OK, well, let’s do it again and let’s see what happens", Grohl said. More on this from Nova here.
