Jack Osbourne has broken his silence over dad Ozzy’s death with a heartbreaking tribute.

Jack said: "I haven’t really wanted to post anything since the passing of my father.

"My heart has hurt too much. I’m gonna keep this short because he certainly hated long rambling speeches.

"He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be apart of a very small group that got to call him Dad.'

"My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude.

"I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing. I think this quote best describes my father."

The tribute was followed by a quote from Hunter S. Thompson, known for writing Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

It reads: "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body... but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!'"

Jack went on to say that the quote from the American author summed up his dad, adding "he lived his life fully."

The tribute was accompanied by a video compilation featuring unseen family moments, including Ozzy with Jack’s children, as well as throwback photos of the father-son duo

Ozzy Osbourne died on 22nd July and his funeral service was held last Thursday at the age of 76.

According to his death certificate, the singer died from an 'acute myocardial infarction' and 'out of hospital cardiac arrest'.

The Black Sabbath star died just over two weeks after the group reunited for their final performance. They first played together more than 50 years ago after forming in 1968.

The show raised “a ton” of money for Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Jack attended the funeral service along with his mum Sharon and sisters Kelly and Aimee, as well as half-brother Louis, who is Ozzy’s son from his first marriage.

Jack became a media personality when he starred in the hit reality TV series The Osbourne's, which was broadcast on MTV from 2002 to 2005. Its first season was the most-viewed series in the history of the channel.

He and Ozzy also appeared together in other reality shows, including Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour, which aired from 2016 to 2018. The show followed the duo as they traveled across the U.S. and abroad, visiting historical landmarks, quirky roadside attraction,s and cultural hotspots. They were also the stars of The Osbournes Want to Believe from 2020 to 2021. The paranormal-themed show saw Jack attempting to convince his skeptical parents of the existence of supernatural phenomena by showing them bizarre and unexplained footage.

Jack’s post follows an update from his sister Kelly, which saw her thank fans for the “love, support and beautiful messages” she has received since the death of her father.
