Jonathan Anderson has announced that Dior will stage its first-ever runway show in Ireland, with the fashion house set to present its Fall/Winter 2027 collection at Trinity College Dublin.
The Derry-born designer, who is the Creative Director of Dior, revealed that the show will take place on 4 December in the university's iconic Old Library.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Anderson said he was "so excited and so proud" to bring the luxury fashion house to Ireland for the landmark event.
His announcement featured an illustration of a four-leaf clover and a ladybird, two motifs he has incorporated into his collections since taking over at Dior.

The post also paid tribute to Carmel Snow, the Dalkey-born editor-in-chief of the American edition of Harper's Bazaar, who played a significant role in the history of the French fashion house.
Born Carmel White, Snow led the influential fashion magazine from 1934 to 1958 and was known for keeping her distinctive Dalkey accent despite spending much of her career in the United States. She also previously worked as a fashion editor for American Vogue.

Following Christian Dior's groundbreaking debut collection in 1947, Snow famously remarked:
"It’s quite a revolution, dear Christian. Your dresses have such a new look."
The phrase went on to inspire the now-famous name of Dior's "New Look", one of the most influential movements in fashion history.

Anderson included the historic quote in his announcement, highlighting the long-standing connection between Ireland and the Dior brand ahead of the house's first runway show on Irish soil.
The event is expected to be one of the biggest fashion occasions ever held in Ireland, with Trinity College's Old Library providing a dramatic backdrop for the luxury label's latest collection.
