The collaboration was officially announced on June 19th, as Liam and Noel prepare for their highly anticipated reunion tour. The Adidas X Oasis advert features new Adidas gear worn by Liam and Noel. The three minute advertisement features the two brothers and their 1994 track 'Live Forever', the video combines old and new footage of the brothers.
The advertisement teases the Gallagher brothers new merchandise with Adidas, with a special nod to their iconic shows at Knebworth and Heaton Park. As seen in the promotion video the collection consists of Firebird tracksuits, raglan sleeve jerseys, bucket hats and coach jackets. The collection will be available in Adidas stores, on the brands website, Oasis' official website and at pop ups at all of their upcoming shows.
The 90's inspired clothing range is dubbed 'Original Forever', the campaign description reads: "After 30 years of shared history, Adidas Originals and Oasis join forces to celebrate an undisputed connection rooted in music, fashion and British identity."
The first Oasis merchandise store opened last Friday in Manchester, with crowds of fans queing outside to get their hands on the merchandise. The Manchester pop up will open from June 20th until July 27th. The merchandise pop up stores will open across Dublin, Cardiff, London, Edinburgh and Birmingham.
Oasis fans were more than excited for the Oasis collaboration with Adidas, as this news was on the back of the reunion tour announcement, leaving fans ecstatic. However some seemed less than excited of the recent merchandise drop as Liam Gallagher hits back at the critics on X.
“Ooh it’s for the young fans… it’s for everyone old n young,” he wrote in another post, before concluding: “Ps Oasis do not discriminate”.
