Linkin Park have cancelled a scheduled concert in Adelaide, Australia, after a member of the band fell ill.
The group confirmed the decision in a statement shared on Instagram Stories, revealing that the March 12 show at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre would not go ahead.
“We have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel tonight's show due to an illness in the band,” the band wrote.
“The Australian tour has been incredible so far and we are devastated that we’re unable to perform for our fans in Adelaide. Unfortunately, the show will not be rescheduled. Please know that cancelling a show is not a decision we take lightly. We are sorry to those fans who were planning to attend.”
The Adelaide concert was the band’s only scheduled stop in South Australia as part of their current run of shows Down Under, meaning fans in the region will not get a replacement performance.
The tour is set to continue on March 14 with the first of two shows at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, before wrapping up in the region with a final date on March 18 at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. The Australian leg of the tour features support from Sydney rock band POLARIS, while Anaheim-born, New Zealand-based artist VANA will open the Auckland show.

Linkin Park are one of the most successful rock bands of the 2000s, rising to global fame after the release of their 2000 debut album Hybrid Theory, which blended nu-metal, rap and electronic elements and produced hit singles such as “In the End” and “Crawling.” The album went on to become one of the best-selling rock records of the decade and helped launch the band to worldwide stardom.
The group originally consisted of Mike Shinoda, Chester Bennington, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn and Rob Bourdon, and they went on to release a string of hugely successful albums including Meteora (2003), Minutes to Midnight (2007) and A Thousand Suns (2010).
The band’s future was thrown into uncertainty following the death of lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017, after which the group stepped away from touring and releasing new material for several years.
However, Linkin Park returned in 2024 with a new chapter, introducing Emily Armstrong, previously of the rock band Dead Sara, as a co-lead vocalist, alongside longtime member Mike Shinoda. At the same time, producer and musician Colin Brittain joined as the band’s new drummer, replacing founding member Rob Bourdon.
The current touring lineup now features Mike Shinoda, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn, Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain, with additional touring musicians joining them on stage.
Their ongoing From Zero World Tour marks the band’s first major global tour in several years, supporting their latest album From Zero, which signals the beginning of a new era for the group following Bennington’s passing.
The current Australasian run also marks the band’s first visit to the region in more than a decade, with their last appearance in Australia dating back to 2013, when they performed as part of the now-defunct Soundwave Festival.
