Manna Air Delivery, a global leader in consumer drone logistics, has announced plans to create 400 new jobs across Ireland and the United States, as it accelerates operations following a $50 million (€43 million) Series B funding round, bringing total investment to $110 million (€95 million).
“Ireland is the foundation of everything we do. We design and build our drones here, develop our software here, and have spent seven years refining operations in communities across the country,” said Bobby Healy, CEO and Founder of Manna Air Delivery.
The new positions will focus on robotics, software engineering, mechanical engineering, aviation operations, ground operations, and regulatory functions, with an emphasis on STEM disciplines. Roles will be based across Manna’s Irish hubs and expanding US operations, increasing the company’s global headcount from 170 to over 570.
Investors in the Series B round include ARK Invest, the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), and Schooner Capital, alongside existing investors Coca-Cola HBC, Molten Ventures, and Enterprise Ireland.
Manna designs, builds, and operates its drones and proprietary software entirely in Ireland, making it one of the country’s most advanced aviation and autonomous technology companies. The company holds a Gold Standard Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC) under the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) framework and has completed over 250,000 regulated drone flights.
“These 400 roles are high-quality STEM positions, and we’re competing with some of the largest companies in the world—and winning,” Healy said. “This investment allows us to scale operations in Ireland and the United States, where several cities and states have shown great enthusiasm for aerial delivery solutions.”
Over the past seven years, Manna has operated in Blanchardstown, Balbriggan, Moneyball, Oranmore, and Cork, as well as internationally in Texas and Finland, completing more than 250,000 deliveries—including 60,000 in Blanchardstown alone. Manna delivers essentials such as books, medical supplies, food, and clothing, supporting families, elderly residents, and those who are housebound, while making last-mile delivery safer and greener.
Peter Burke TD, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, said, “Manna’s announcement reinforces Ireland’s global standing in innovation and advanced manufacturing, showcasing our STEM talent and the ability of homegrown companies to compete internationally in pioneering sectors like autonomous aviation.”
Kevin Sherry, Executive Director at Enterprise Ireland, added, “Manna exemplifies an Irish-founded company with global growth potential, and our continued support reflects our commitment to helping ambitious founders scale internationally from Ireland.”
Founded in 2019 by serial entrepreneur Bobby Healy, Manna has grown from its early roots at NovaUCD and NexusUCD to become a global leader in drone delivery and autonomous technology.
