Morrissey has called off his upcoming show in St Petersburg, Florida, his fifth cancelled show of 2026.
The former Smiths singer had been scheduled to play live at the Duke Energy Center For The Arts' Mahaffey Theater Tonight (January 20). The event had already been rescheduled, after Morrissey had called off the show back in May.
Now, the show has been cancelled via email, with the singer reportedly citing "artist illness".
“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event", a message on the Ticketmaster site read. “You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days".
This show was part of Morrissey's US Tour, which started in San Antonio, Texas on January 10. He had previously called off shows in San Diego, Atlanta and St Louis, with the Atlanta show being cancelled due to "artist illness". The singer also called off a show in California due to an "adverse reaction to a prescription medication".
The tour is set to finish in Hollywood on January 22.
This also comes after Morrissey announced the released of his new album, 'Make-Up Is A Lie', his first album in over five years. The album, his 14th record in total, will arrive on March 6 via Sire Records.
