A man has died following what gardaí have described as a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a van, which occurred on the R752 at Corballis Upper, Rathdrum in Co. Wicklow this morning at around 8.05am.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30’s was pronounced dead at the scene while another man, the driver of the van who’s in his 50’s received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
The road is closed for examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), and who were travelling in the area of Corballis Upper, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow, today, Friday 3rd November 2023, between 7.30am and 8.30am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
