Billy Joel is putting his Long Island home up for sale for $49 million.

The 14 acre North Shore residence which was purchased by Joel for $22.5 million in 2002, includes eight bathrooms, and five bedrooms, along with 180 degrees of elevated water views.

The sale is also being organised by Daniel Gale of Sotheby’s International Realty.

This house also includes a floating dock, boat ramp on 2,000 of waterfront on Oyster Bay Harbour, along with an in-ground pool, several apartments and guest rooms, as well as helecopter pad.

Joel has used the helecopter pad to travel to and from his record breaking Madison Square concerts, cutting his travel time from two hours to 15 minutes.

Over the last few years, Billy Joel has renovated this property in preparation for the sale. The singer and his wife have spent the majority of their time in Florida.

Billy Joel Coming To Hyde Park

Back in March, it was confirmed that Billy Joel would be supported by Daryl Hall at the singer’s BST Hyde Park performance.

This show will take place on July 7, and will also feature performances from Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band, Guns N’Roses, along with Take That and P!nk who will be supported by Gwen Stefani.

Before this, Joel is also scheduled to perform at Madision Square Garden for his 91st show on June 2. More on this story from Nova here.

Earlier this year while performing at the iconic venue, Billy Joel was also joined on stage by ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons.

The pair performed classic ZZ Top tracks ‘La Grange’ and ‘Tush’. More on this here.
