'8-Tracks' will feature 8 songs from the bands discography between 1971 and 1979, showcasing songs from the bands most popular albums.
The tracklist includes songs from 'Meddle', 'Obscured by Clouds', 'The Dark Side of the Moon','Wish You Were Here', 'Animals' , and 'The Wall'.
8-Tracks is "A starting point for new listeners to discover the depth and breadth of Pink Floyd’s peerless album catalogue, as well as a carefully curated collection for longtime fans to appreciate," according to a press release announcing the album.
Most notably, the new album features an extended version of the Animals track Pigs On The Wing, which was only available on the 8-track cartridge version of the original album.

In other news, the band released a brand new live album from their 1975 Los Angeles Sports Arena concert during the 'Wish You Were Here' tour. The album is set to be released on CD and vinyl and will also be available from Sony Music as a special four LP clear vinyl version, which will be released exclusively for Record Store Day on 18th April, followed by a 2CD edition on April 24.
