The father of the three children who were found dead at their home in Dublin last week says “every breath is a struggle.”
Andrew McGinley has released a statement saying “there are no words – there is only devastation, grief and anguish.”
The bodies of 9-year-old Conor, 7-year-old Darragh, and 3-year-old Carla were discovered in a house in Newcastle on Friday evening.
This morning, their father Andrew McGinley said his three children “are adored” and “all had beautiful, bright futures ahead of them.”
He has urged parents “to cuddle your children whenever you get a chance, tell them how much you love them as often as you can.”
Gardaí are still waiting for permission to interview their mother who remains in hospital.
Post mortem examinations were carried out, but Gardaí say they won’t be released for operational purposes.
Mr. McGinley says “the future has now become our enemy, but we will battle it every day to keep the memory of Conor, Darragh and Carla alive.”
