The Welsh team, who are co owned by Reynolds and fellow actor Rob McElhenney, secured promotion from League One to the Championship, following their 3-0 victory over Charlton last weekend.
Ryan Reynolds is relishing the prospect of "many more" years at Wrexham after the club sealed their third promotion in three years last weekend
"This club is the sum of its supporters", Deadpool star Reynolds wrote on X afterwards. "Before we showed up they’d saved it multiple times. It’s a temple as much as a football pitch. @Wrexham_AFC has been one of the greatest experiences of my life".
This post from Reynolds also included an accompanying video of him attending an Ed Sheeran concert. Sheeran is a minority owner and sponsor of Ipswich Town, who will face Wrexham in next season's championship, following their relegation from the Premier League this season, having only won four matches.
Following the gig, Sheeran said to Reynolds: "Ryan, I think Wrexham are going to get promoted and we’re going to see each other next season".
Following this, Ryan Reynolds crossed his fingers following Sheeran's comments. This video also charted Wrexham's success, accompanied by Green Day's song Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life).
"It’s hard to avoid immediately starting work on next season, but important to take the moment in. Looking back and looking forward feels really good right now", Reynolds said.
Reynolds and McElhenney bought Wrexham in February 2021 for £2 million, before going onto lead them out of the National League to the Championship.
The pair have also contributed to the huge worldwide media attention of the team thanks to their FX documentary show, Welcome To Wrexham, which has run for three series. It has also won eight Emmy Awards, with a fourth series of the show is to air next month. More on this from Nova here.
