Former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar said that he wants to hit the road with his Van Halen predecessor, original lead singer, David Lee Roth.

Hagar, Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Joe Satriani, will join forces for The Best of All Worlds Tour in 2024.

So far, only American dates have been announced by the rock super-group.

Hagar intends on delving deep into the Van Halen back catalogue for the tour, even on songs that he didn’t sing originally.

The Red Rocker told Howard Stern on Wednesday that he is open to his fellow Van Halen alumni joining him on the road, to celebrate the band’s legacy.

“If Alex Van Halen wants to jump out, if David Lee Roth wants to come out and join us, come on motherf*****, you are welcome,” he said. “This is about Van Halen.”

The likelihood is that Alex Van Halen will sit the offer out however.

When asked if he thought Van Halen’s original drummer would join the tour, Hagar said he hoped so, but added: “I reach out to Al about once a month for five years now, and he doesn’t get back to me.”

Nevertheless, Hagar has promised fans that the new tour will heavily feature Van Halen tunes from across the years.

“It’s time, nobody else is gonna do it,” he said. “This is really a celebration of all that, and we are the only ones who can do it.”

Time will tell if The Best of All Worlds Tour will reach Ireland.
