The family of Scarlett Faulkner are mourning another death in the family, as her brother Jason died traigically over the weekend.
Mr Faulkner was a pallbearer at his sisters funeral at St Munchin's church on Friday.
Mr Faulkner was from Longpavement in Co Limerick and was in his thirties.
"My heart, 2 days after burying your sister Scarlett, your gone now Jason, her lovely brother. The laughs we had, oh Jason what are the family gonna do? I can't get my head round it, no doubt Scarlett Faulkner was there to meet you - together again forever," said their cousin in a post online.
Ms Faulkner passed away three weeks ago after she was allegedly attacked with an iron bar at a roadside outside Birdhill village, north Tipperary.
She was remembered at her funeral as a "a young mother, a daughter, a lady whose life was intertwined with love, responsibility and hope".
According to the Irish Mirror, Ms Faulkner's sister Victoria said at the funeral: "You were Daddy’s girl and Mommy’s world, we will love you forever, our sleeping beauty, from your ten sisters and five brothers, and most importantly you’re beautiful daughter Oceanna, who you loved dearly, the same way she loved you."
"You have left a big hole in each and everyone of our hearts but you also touched the hearts of many others in this world.You were a good mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, friend to us all, you have left us with a beautiful little girl, ‘Oceanna’ - a gift from god, who reminds us of you so much," she continued.
A 16 year old girl and a 40 year old woman have been charged in connection to the assault on Ms Faulkner on March 21st.
Family and friends of Mr Faulkner shared their heartache to social media after his death.
“Why god? Life is so cruel and shocking, Jason cousin, ur back with ur sister Scarlett, we will all love and miss yee forever, our hearts are in bits,” stated a post shared online.
“I’m lost for words, seen this boy carrying his poor sisters coffin at her funeral and now he's gone to heaven, I’ve never seen sadder in my life,” another said.
