The first ever music video for George Harrison's 'Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)' has been released, directed by Stranger Things' star Finn Wolfhard.
Wolfhard's take on the classic 1973 Beatles' track takes fans on a journey through the gardens of Friar Park, Harrison's private estate, located in Henley-On-Thames, and features Easter egg references from the late musician's career, and pays tribute to his passion for gardening.
The video itself saw Akash Jones work as animation director, with Michael Wamara and Jason Baum on production duties. George Harrison's son Dhani Harrison also served as executive producer alongside David Zonshine.
This animation saw Toronto-based Nobody Told Me Studios and Tye Down Pictures collaborate, with 20 stop-motion artists working on each part of the video, and each animating story beat frame-by-frame, leading to a “a tactile, emotionally driven visual world built with meticulous craftsmanship”.
Speaking about the process, Wolfhard said: “To work with the Harrison family and bring this video to life with a team of incredible young Canadian artists has been a great honour".
“It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity. George Harrison has and will continue to be a huge inspiration to me, and his work will live on forever".
Paying homage to Wolfhard, Dhani Harrison added: “Finn is one of the sweetest and most talented people I know of his generation, and he is the perfect person to direct a video for my dad".
“My dad would have loved this, and I hope his wonderful, creative, heartfelt ideas help this song reach another generation. Great job, Finn – we love you".
'Give Me Love...' appeared on George Harrison's solo album 'Living In The Material World' in 1973.

The series is based on a memoir that documented the transformation of a group of teenagers into a band known worldwide.
In a press release, Sue Deeks, Head of Scripted Pre-buy Acquisitions at the BBC said: "Hamburg Days is the fascinating story of how, in the space of two short years, a raw young band from Liverpool honed their music skills in Hamburg, before returning home to become an overnight worldwide success. It is an incredible story, accompanied (of course) by an amazing soundtrack!".
