What great news for a Wednesday, Mexican acoustic guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela are returning to Ireland this summer! The pair have just announced two dates in Ireland. The first gig will be in the National Concert Hall July 15th and the second at The Academy Dublin Sunday 16th July.

The year is 1970 and ‘Van the Man’, Mr. Van Morrison himself is set to play Manhattan’s famous Fillmore East. The venue became known as ‘The Church of Rock and Roll’ and played host to greats like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Crosby Stills Nash & Young. So it was a major coup for little English pub rock band, Brinsley Schwarz’s to be booked as Van’s support act. Brinsley Schwarz were named after their guitarist of the same name. With Nick Lowe on bass and vocals, keyboardist Bob Andrews and drummer Billy Rankin, the band evolved from the 1960s pop band Kippington Lodge. At this time, the band's style was changing from pop into more of a folk-rock band.

George Ezra announces “Top Secret” tour. The young English singer-song writer has been keeping a low profile since catching our attention with the release of his top 10 hit single 'Budapest'. He hasn't been resting on his laurels however. The singer announced over on Twitter today that he's been hard at work on his second record. His debut studio album Wanted on Voyage hit the #1 spot in the UK and reached #5 in the Irish album chart. Today's tweet comes with the announcement that he's to embark on a his Top Secret tour this year.

We were already suitably impressed with the festival’s three headliners – Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran - when they were confirmed earlier this month. Now 88 acts have been added including The xx, Brit nominated Biffy Clyro, The National, Brighton duo Royal Blood, Lorde, Katy Perry and Father John Misty.
