Teen Critical After Hit-And-Run

Three pedestrians have been injured, one seriously, in an alleged hit-and-run in west Dublin which happened at 9.30am this morning at Coolmine train station in Blanchardstown.

A 19-year-old man and a 54-year-old man were seriously injured in the incident while the teen is critically ill in Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

A woman also suffered minor injuries and was treated for shock. A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, causing serious injury.

He’s being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station where he can be questioned for up to 24 hours. The road was closed for technical examination with local diversions are in place.
