Thirty-three years after redefining alternative rock with their debut album, The Cranberries have unveiled the 33rd Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?, released today, May 22, 2026, via Island Records and Universal Music Enterprises.
Originally released on March 1, 1993, the album became a defining statement of the decade, reaching No. 1 in both the UK and Ireland while selling more than six million copies worldwide. Powered by the timeless singles Dreams and Linger, the record introduced the unmistakable voice of Dolores O'Riordan and established the band as one of the most distinctive acts of the 1990s.
The new anniversary collection arrives in seven configurations and features newly created 2026 stereo mixes by original producer Stephen Street, expanded liner notes, rare tracks, remixes, and fresh reinterpretations of classic songs.
Among the highlights are Spanish-language versions of Linger and Dreams by rising Latin indie artists Bratty and ANASOF. Billboard praised Bratty’s reimagining of “Linger” as “a bold remix that pays tribute to one of the most beautiful ballads of the 1990s,” while El Heraldo described ANASOF’s take on “Dreams” as “deep and complex,” preserving the spirit of O’Riordan’s iconic vocal style.
The release also includes a new remix of Linger by Iain Cook of CHVRCHES. The remix previously earned praise from Pitchfork, which called it “beautiful and vulnerable.”
The album’s enduring legacy continues to resonate with critics and fans alike. In a recent feature, Rolling Stone highlighted the emotional depth of “Linger,” praising “Dolores’ mournful voice” and the song’s “upfront Celtic melancholy.” Meanwhile, Collider ranked the album among the best rock records of the 1990s, calling the band “one of the most original bands of the decade.”
More than three decades after its debut, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? remains a landmark release whose emotional honesty, dreamy arrangements, and unmistakable Irish identity continue to inspire new generations of listeners.
