Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility is getting another outing on the screen, 30 years on from the film adaptation, which saw Emma Thompson win the Oscar for Best Writing.
The film, which is led by Daisy Edgar-Jones, is one of the most anticipated adaptations coming down the line, and now we have a first look!
Here's everything you need to know about Sense and Sensibility:
She joins fellow Irish actor Fiona Shaw in the cast along with George MacKay, Frank Dillane, Herbert Nordrum, and Bodhi Breathnach.

If you haven't already seen the earlier versions of Sense and Sensibility, it follows the fortunes of the three Dashwood sisters in the 18th Century.
Following the death of their father, the sisters and their mother are forced to move out of their family estate and into a cottage with a relative.
Their half-brother, who had promised their father that he would support them, is instead persuaded by his wife to withhold financial support and also sets about blocking a potential match with Elinor and her brother.
Marianne, meanwhile, is attempting to stave off a marriage to the much older but wealthy Colonel Brandon and instead falls in love with the dashing but weak-willed John Willoughby.
As the plot unfolds, the sisters find themselves experiencing contrasting relationship stories.

First look pictures of the film show a forlorn Daisy as Elinor standing in the picturesque valley, while in others, she is gazing into the eyes of George MacKay as Edward Ferrars.
'It was really important to me to feel like we're watching a story about human beings, and we can actually feel what it was like to live in the houses that they lived in - irrespective of whether we're talking about a mouldy cottage on the edge of the sea or a huge, palatial country house.' Director Georgia Oakley told Vogue.
The first look trailer was released in June 2026 and starts out with the sisters despairing as they read their father's will and realise that they have to move out of their family home.
Then we get a glimpse of the first chemistry-laden meeting between Elinor and Edward. 'I like him, I greatly esteem him' she tells her sister in the next scene.
The trailer cuts to Marianne being 'rescued' and subsequently falling for Mr Willoughby, and wraps up with Elionor and Edward's connection deepening.

Sense and Sensibility will be released on September 25, 2026.
